Tradition and Innovation
1935
Company founding and start of production of foot supports in Zeulenroda/Thuringia under the name MK-Bandagen – named after founder Margarethe Kleeberg. Her brother, Joachim Kleeberg, takes over sales.
1938
Expansion of the product range to include incontinence products and nappy pants for
babies. The brand name “herzlieb” is acquired. The company name changes to Kleeberg & Meyer after the founder marries Johannes Meyer.
1952
The company becomes the people’s property in the newly formed German Democratic Republic and the private equity of the owners is confiscated by the state. The families relocate to Trebgast/Upper Franconia and start up a new manufacture with 20 staff.
1953
Expansion of the product range to include textile care products. Kleeberg & Meyer become market leader in the area of nappy pants for medical retailers and pharmacies. Medical and healthcare suppliers begin stocking suprima products. Company growth facilitates the move to a new operating location in Bad Berneck.
1975
Expansion of the product range to include patient care equipment and disposable incontinence products.
1976

2010
75th company anniversary! Plans for the future are in place. The company will continue to remain in family hands. The next generation is already working in the business.
2012
Brigitte and Günther Ingerl hand over the reins for the company to their daughter Ina Richter as of June of this year. Ms. Richter has at that point held a leadership position in the company for some years. She is supported by Manuel Käppler as director for marketing and sales. During the takeover process, Ms. Richter also succeeds in buying back the shares of the co-partners, thus placing the entire company back into the hands of the founding family.
2014
A new warehouse with a 300 sqm footprint and high bays for 290 pallet storage spaces is constructed on the grounds of suprima GmbH in 2014 . Another hall for goods inward and quality control is erected concurrently.
2016
Mr. Käppler is granted sole power of attorney in mid-2016.
2022
In 2022, the tradition continues. David Richter, son of Ina Richter, joins the family business in the fourth generation.
2023
With the construction of another hall on the company premises, suprima is prepared for further growth.
2024
Tradition meets innovation. At the beginning of 2024, the management team expands with the appointment of David Richter as Managing Director. With his expertise in cultural change, change management, and digital transformation, he ensures the sustainability and development of the company.
